Michele Tingoli 58, of Union passed away on Monday January 12, 2015 at Overlook Medical Center in Summit.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, on Thursday at 10:30 am. The funeral  mass will be in St. James Church 45 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield, NJ at 11 AM. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:30- 10:30 am.

Born in East Orange, Michele lived in Irvington before moving to Union 28 years ago. She graduated from Kean University with a BA degree in Early Childhood Education.  She became a special Education teacher in the Irvington School District for 2 years. After that she was a teacher at various day care centers in the Essex and Union County area for many years.

Michele was the daughter of the late Anna Tingoli (nee Carbone) and the fiancé  of Allan Jacobus, as well as  the niece of Salvatrice Carbone. She is also survived by many loving cousins.
