Mildred F. Mascola

Mildred F. Mascola (nee Godfrey), 81, of Succasunna, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services are in care of the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 9 to 10 am.

Interment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.

Mildred was born in Newark to the late Harold and Elizabeth (nee Garahan) Godfrey.

Beloved wife .of the late Frank Mascola.  Loving mother of Geraldine Bilotti Clark and her husband David Clark,  Mark Mascola and his wife Birute, and the late Frank Mascola Jr. and Hope Ann Morey and her husband James. Sister of Diane Stulec and Betty Cronower. Loving grandmother of Nicole, Jeffrey,  Michael, and Christopher. Great grandmother of Kaitlyn, Madelyn and Abigail. All her neices and nephews. Longtime companion of the late Jack Burda.

Everyone called her Millie.  She was a long time resident of Hillside and enjoyed her job working at an Irvington pub as a bartender.  She was a fun loving and feisty woman who packed one hell of a punch! Her true joy was her beautiful family.  Her happiest moments were being there for her grandchildren.  As adults they would stop over to talk, eat, and even just to take a nap.

She attended her grandsons wedding and danced the night away.  She loved dancing, listening to music and cooking.  Her family would always request her delicious pot roast and mashed potatoes.  The births of her great-granddaughters also brought her so much joy.  They called her "Grammy".

Millie had her first child Geri at a young age.  They grew to be not only mother and daughter but also Best Friends.  Millie loved her "crazy" cat Baby and also enjoyed spending time with her friend Frannie and her dog Angel.  She had a very happy and loving life and will be missed by many.
