Mildred Meola

Mildred Meola (nee Manzella) 98, of Newark passed away on November 1, 2015.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home, 17 Pacific St. Newark on Thursday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Newark at 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation is on Wednesday from 4-8 PM.

Mildred was born in Newark and was a lifelong resident of the Ironbound section .

She worked for Western Electric and Aero Heat Co., for many years before retiring over 35 years ago. Mildred was also past president of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Rosary Society for many years.

Mildred was predeceased by her husband Louis A. Meola; she is the mother of Louis A. Meola, Jr and his wife Theresa of Freehold. She is also the grandmother of Christine Meola and great-grandmother of Avery L. Martinez. Mildred is also survived by many nieces, nephews and long time friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 259 Oliver St. Newark in her memory.
