Minnie Profita

Minnie Profita, 96 of Maplewood passed away on February 28, 2017.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Monday at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation is on Sunday from 1-5 PM.

Born in Irvington, Minnie lived in Newark before moving to Maplewood 41 years ago. She worked as a book keeper for Bamberger's, later Macy's Department Store in downtown Newark for many years before retiring. Minnie was an avid traveler throughout her younger years.

Daughter of the late Biaggio and Ida (nee Dino) Profita, Minnie was also predeceased by her brothers Russell and Morris Profita. She was the loving aunt of  Russell Profita and his wife Michelle, Mario Profita and his wife Maria, Robert Profita and Joann Profita; and is also survived by many loving great-nieces and nephews.
