Myra Ashukian of Springfield passed away on Monday January 21, 2013 at St. Barnabas Medical Center.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday at 9 AM. Interment is at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge at 11 AM. Visitation is on Thursday from 3-7 PM.

Myra enjoyed driving her Cadillacs and listening to Barry Manilow. Together with her husband Adam, she owned and operated Pacific Cleaners in Newark for over 50 years. She was known as Nanny Red to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved by many people and could always make them laugh.

Mom you will always be our shining star. We love you dearly.

Myra was predeceased by her daughter Linda Resnick in 1999. She is survived by her husband Adam, her children Iris Decker and her husband Tom, Alan Ashukian, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Rd. 2 ^nd Floor Princeton, NJ 08540 in her memory.
