Nancy Andersen-Ziegert

Nancy Jane Andersen-Ziegert, 59 of Hackettstown passed away on February 19, 2019.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Nancy at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Friday March 1 from 2-4 PM, with a funeral service being celebrated at 4 PM. Cremation will be held privately.

Born in Mount Holly, NJ, Nancy lived in Scotch Plains and Fanwood before settling in Hackettstown 30 years ago. She was a chemist, working for Best Foods in Union (later Somerset) and then at Unilever, and Natural Starch. Nancy was a talented jewelry maker, and enjoyed creating custom pieces for her family. A lover of nature and bird watching, she adored her rescue animals, and her beloved cat, Ethan. Nancy was also a great harpist, and enjoyed cooking. She cherished the memories made with her husband participating in Revolutionary War reenactments.

Nancy was the beloved wife of 33 years to Ted Ziegert; loving sister of Carol Pook, and sister-in-law to Wayne Ziegert and his wife Laura; and dear aunt of Matthew, Christopher, Alex, Catherine and Mae.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the funeral home to be passed along to Nancy's favorite charity in her memory.
