Nancy Zarro

Nancy Zarro, age 95, passed away on December 23, 2024. 

Nancy was a devoted bookkeeper for over 60 years at the Association Master Trust of Springfield, New Jersey. She was known as a hard worker, dedicated to her position, and considered her coworkers to be like family. Nancy's commitment to her work was matched only by her deep love for people, and her strong family values.

An avid baker, Nancy had a particular specialty in banana bread, which she generously shared with friends and family alike. Her enthusiasm for life extended beyond the kitchen; she cherished traveling on senior vacations and fondly enjoyed trips to many places including the islands, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Italy. Nancy had also had a passion for reading and found joy in listening to the timeless music of Frank Sinatra.

Nancy is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Michael, who passed in 2000. She is also predeceased by her brothers Louis, Tony, Jerry, Philly and John, and her sisters Josephine, Geraldine and Mary.

Nancy is survived by her son Michael J. Zarro and his wife Joyce. She was a loving grandmother to her grandson Alexander Michael, and a proud aunt to many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many cherished friends and coworkers who remember her fondly. 

Nancy’s legacy of hard work, generosity, and love for her family and friends will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate to know her.  Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be remembered not just for her professional contributions but also for the love and joy she brought into the lives of those around her.

Visitation will be held at Galante Funeral Home on Monday, December 30, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, located at 2800 Morris Ave in Union. A mass will be celebrated in her honor on Tuesday, December 31 at 10:15 AM at St. Michael Church, located at 1212 Kelly St in Union. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park located at 1500 Stuyvesant Ave, Union.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriner’s Children's Hospital.
