Nathaniel Frazier Jr.
On Friday, January 22, 2021, our cherished Nathaniel Frazier, Jr. passed away at the age of 81. Nathaniel (also known by friends and family as Junior, Frazier, Nate, Nathan) was born on July 27, 1939 in Coosawhatchie, SC to Rosalie and Nathaniel Frazier, Sr. During his career as a longshoreman, Nathaniel worked for Maersk-Sealand for over 45 years.
Foregoing Nathaniel’s departure home are siblings Sarah Elizabeth Stewart, Leon James Frazier and son Alfonso Frazier. He is survived by his much loved & beloved wife Elizabeth Frazier, siblings Lillie Mae Culver, Mary Patterson, Carolyn Wrice, Hezekiah Wrice, and Rodney Wrice. The legacy and memory of Nathaniel will remain alive through his son and daughters Marie, Nathaniel Dawoud, Sandra, Kescia, and Andrea. Nathaniel was blessed enough to live to enjoy many grand and great grandchildren.
We often hear the saying, "We all make time for what we feel is important in our lives." Nathaniel ALWAYS made time for what was important in his life. While being a longshoreman meant working most holidays, weekends, Sundays, long days, and longer nights, he never missed a birthday, graduation, or important moment in the lives of his loved ones.
Nathaniel was a fatherly-brother, favorite uncle, providing father, phenomenal grand/great grandfather, loving cousin, and sociable friend who loved work, family, traveling, good food, cars, old westerns, jazz music, and popping up at the homes of his loved ones with goodies, a wide smile, and his unique robust laugh! To have known Nathaniel was to know and experience a dedicated provider of true unconditional love in abundance! He will always be loved and cherished in our memories. Nathaniel Frazier Jr. was truly the glue that held the family together!
