Nettie Lupo

Nettie Lupo (nee Villano) 97 of Garwood, N.J. passed away on Saturday December 16, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.

The funeral mass will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church 259 Oliver St. Newark (Ironbound) on Wednesday at 10:30 am.

Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Orange, N.J.

The visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 - 8 pm in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union.

Born in the Ironbound section of Newark, she also lived in the Weequahic section as well, before moving to Hillside, & Spring Lake Heights, and then living in Garwood for the last 11 years.

She loved being with her family and cooking for them and she especially enjoyed her shore house.

Nettie was married to her beloved husband Nicholas Lupo for 71 years.

She was the loving mother of Sandra Wilson and her husband Michael, and the late Joseph Lupo.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Dominick (Min), Thomas (TK), Anthony (Matt) Villano, and Mildred Malanga. She is also survived by her cherished grandsons, Joseph, and Nicholas and his fiancée Jenna.
