Noel Boyle

d. February 27, 2025

Union

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Noel, beloved spouse, best friend, devoted Uncle and Brother, who died peacefully and on his own terms on February 27, 2025 at the age of 75.

Noel was a devoted husband and companion to his partner and spouse of 44 years, Anna. He always stood by her side as they travelled together through life's adventures, focusing on the oneness of their hearts and minds.

Noel was born in Glasgow, Scotland on December 21, 1949 to Rose Younger Boyle and Patrick Boyle. Noel immigrated to the Bronx, New York City, at the age of 14 on September 11, 1964 with his mother and never looked back. Noel made America his love and his home, and when this Country called him to serve in Vietnam, he did not flinch. He put his life on the line for America. Noel served his Country in Vietnam from 1970-1971 and was honorably discharged from service. After returning from Vietnam, Noel registered for college courses at Bronx Community College and obtained an Associate's Degree in Medical Technology in 1973. Thereafter Noel attended CUNY/Richmond College in Staten Island and obtained a BS in Chemistry in 1976, making Dean's List several times throughout his course of study. After obtaining his Bachelor's Degree, Noel began working as a Quality Control and Quality Assurance Chemist in industries such as flavors and fragrances, cosmetics, and household products until switching to Biochemistry and Pharmacological Research in the late 1980's through his retirement at the end of 2015. Noel's expertise contributed greatly to Alzheimer's research and neuro-pharmacological research in the last 25 years of his work. Everyone who met Noel knew he loved music, film and comics. He often said music was his life. Noel enjoyed 9% years of retirement and believed he lived his life fully-doing amazing acts like hitchhiking across America several times in his youth, saw wonderful places such as Australia, S.E. Asia, and Europe, and met and spent time with many interesting people. He had no regrets.

Noel is survived by his Spouse, Anna M. Delio, his sister, Carole (Boyle) Napoliello of the Bronx, and numerous nieces and nephews residing in the Bronx, throughout the Tri-State area and in Alaska. His mother, Rose, and two older sisters, Rosemary and Trisha, predeceased him. Noel's love will live forever in the hearts of Anna and everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never, ever forgotten.

Noel requested that his remains be cremated. A memorial service to honor his life will be held at a later date for family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that Family and Friends contribute to any of the following charities that were important to Noel: Planned Parenthood, Cancer Care, Community Food Bank of NJ, Humane Society or ASPCA, and Habitat for Humanity.
