Norma J. Capaccio (nee Hoover) 59, of Union died on Saturday June 7, 2014 at home. The funeral service will be in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue in Union on Thursday at 10 am. Interment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Born in Newark, she lived in Belleville before moving to Union 35 years ago. She was a cashier at Pathmark in Union for 18 years, retiring 4 years ago. She was also a former member of the American Legion Post # 35 Ladies Auxiliary  in Union, a former Girl Scout leader in Belleville, and a member of the Rainbow Girls, and a former Grand Matron of the Eastern Star.

Norma was married to her husband Charles J. Capaccio for 35 years, and is the mother of Steven and Gina Capaccio.  She is the sister of Linda, the late Doris and Edward Hoover, the daughter of the late Clare (nee Stager), and the late  Merrill E. Hoover the daughter in law of Jennie (nee Barone) and John Capaccio, the sister in law of Lucy Hoover and Ross Capaccio and his wife Jo Anne, and is the aunt of many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
