Patricia Leon

Patricia Shirley Leon, 88 of Caldwell passed away on August 4, 2015.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame Church, 359 Central Ave. North Caldwell on Friday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Galante Funeral Home in Caldwell.

Born in New South Wales, Australia, Patricia married while enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force and moved to the US in 1957. While raising her family and throughout her life, Patricia was a world traveler, residing all across the globe. She held firm beliefs that life is an adventure, and that it is important to help others, and to laugh every day. Patricia was also involved in Passaic County politics.

Patricia was the loving mother of Rudy Leon and his wife Catherine, William Gaffney and his wife Vicki, Kathleen McEntee and her husband Robert, Rebekah Leon, and the late Terence Gaffney; she is survived by her dear grandchildren Michael and Caitlin Leon, Meghan, Olivia and Sydney McEntee, and Jessica and Melissa Gaffney; she was the great-grandmother of Ciara Walker and Teriana Callanta; and was predeceased by the fathers of her children Thomas Gaffney and Adolph Leon, and by her brother Kevin Nelson.
