Paul J. Falgares Sr.

Paul J. Falgares, 89, of Union, N.J., passed away on March 10, 2021. Visitation will be on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. through 12:30  a.m. at GalanteFuneral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union N.J. and services will be be held at the funeral home at 12:30.  Interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, N.J. Born and raised in Newark, N.J., Paul also lived in East Orange and Bloomfield N.J. before settling in Union . He proudly served our country in Korea with the U.S. Army. He retired in 1992 after 20 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a talented musician who played clarinet with the U.S. Army Band and saxophone with such groups as the Union Community Band. He was a humble Christian in both word and deed.

Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Pauline Falgares; his brother Anthony D. Falgares; his son Frank Falgares and  his companion Virginia Musikevich, Paul is survived by former wife Mary H. Falgares (nee Farese), his son Paul J. Falgares, Jr. and his wife Linda Gehron; and son Thomas S. Falgares; his grandson Paul J. Falgares III; sister Marion Spezzaferra and loving companion Patricia DeAngelis. In recent years, Paul and Pat were active members of Union Senior Center.
