Paul L.Mendelsohn Sr.82, of Union, died on Tuesday July 28, 2015 at Overlook Medical Center in Summit.

The Funeral Service will be held privately in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue in Union, N.J.  Cremation is to be held privately.

Born in Newark he lived in Irvington, before moving to Union 56 years ago.

He graduated Newark College of Engineering now known as NJIT. He was an electrical engineer for Comtech Corporation in Carlstadt, NJ for many years before retiring.

He was also a veteran of the US Air Force.

Paul was married to his wife Jean (nee Sorce), and is the father of  Angela  Sorrentino and her husband John,  Paul Jr, Joseph, Richardand his wie Stephanie, and Kathleen Mendelsohn. He is also the grandfather of Joshua, Matthew, Jason, and Benjamin.
