Paul Michael Rizzo

Paul Michael Rizzo 91 of Union passed away at St. Barnabas Hospice at Beth Israel Hospital, Newark on February 1, 2013.

The Funeral  will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, on Tuesday at 8 AM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Church, Union at 9:15 AM. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 8 PM.  Interment is at  Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

He was born in Glendale, Pa. and lived in Newark, Irvington and then Union for 26 years.

Paul was a self employed truck driver for many years before becoming a teachers aid for the Scotch Plains-Fanwood School System for 21 years.

He is an Army veteran of WW II serving with General Patton in the 3 ^rd Army 35 ^th Division.

Paul is the husband of the late Rose M. Rizzo.  The Father of Angelo Rizzo, Paul Rizzo, Frances Rizzo and her husband Mickey and Maria Rizzo and her husband Bryan.  The brother of Angelo Rizzo and the late John Rizzo, Frances Rizzo and Rose Kushto.  Grandfather of Anthony and Nicholas.
