Philip Possumato 101, of Toms River passed away on April 1, 2016.

Philip was born and raised in the Ironbound section of Newark before moving to Nutley and then settling in Toms River.

He was a Jeweler with the Capital Ring Company in Newark for 35 years before retiring.

He served in the Navy during WWII as a Metalsmith First class.

Husband of Nancy (nee) Orlando.

Father of Ronald, wife Kathy, Diane, husband Ted Hruzd, Celeste, husband Richard Waitts.

Grandfather of Carrie, Dana, Lisa, Michael and Monica.

Great-Grandfather of Nicholas.

Funeral from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, on Tuesday at 8:30AM.

Funeral mass at Holy Spirit Church in Union at 9:30AM

Visitation on Monday from 4 to 8 PM

Cremation private.
