Ping Chu, 94, passed away on June 3, 2019 at his daughter's home in Ft. Lee, NJ surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be held at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. in Caldwell on Thursday from 10am - 12 Noon.

Cremation is private.

Ping was born in Nanking, China. He lived in Pine Brook for the past 50 years.

He was a Civil Engineer with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey for over 30 years before his retirement.

He was a kind and gentle person who was an inspiration and mentor to his entire family and many friends. He was greatly loved by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of the late Anne Chu.

Loving father of Maria Ho and her husband John.

Treasured son of the late Shu Shia and Chieh Chu.

Esteemed brother of Helen Lung, Renee Chao, Chien Wen Yen, Sherry Pu, and the late Tao Chu.

Cherished grandfather of Melissa and her fiancé Robert J. Stenz, Emily and her husband Zachary Manning.
