Placido "Charlie" Muia
Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather
Placido Muia, " Charlie", 80, of Kenilworth, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Placido was born in Spilinga, Calabria, Italy. He moved to the US in 1954 and settled in Newark, then to Kenilworth in 1978.
Placido enjoyed spending time with his family, watching Italian soccer, and frequent trips to the casinos.
He was a member of the Spilingesi Social Club in Newark.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Josephine (nee Faleo); daughters Maria Tsakos, Husband Paul, Dolores Masucci, Husband Nicholas and Lisa Ramundo, Husband Marco.
"Poppy" will be dearly missed by his five cherished granddaughters Alexandra, Daniella, Brielle, Nicole and Madeline.
He is also survived by his cherished brothers Giuseppe and Anthony and the late Theresa Minniti.

Funeral Mass at St. Theresa's Church, Kenilworth at 11 AM
Entombment at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
Visitation Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM
