Raffael Zillani 82, of Millburn, died on Thursday November 17, 2011 at Overlook Hospital in Summit.
The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Tuesday at 8:30 am. Funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills at 10 am.
Entombment will follow in The Chapel at Short Hills. Mausoleum in Millburn. Visitation Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. For directions or to send condolences visit galantefh.com.
Born in Sao Paulo Brazil he lived in Venezuela, & Italy, before moving to Millburn 53 years ago. He was a self employed Mason in Millburn for 35 years, before retiring 17 years ago.
Raffael was married to his wife Maria (nee Delle Donne) for 64 years and was the father of Marie Jones and her husband John, Michael Zillante, and Carmelina Taylor.
He was also the grandfather of Tanya Mueller, Jennifer Maffei, and Chase Taylor, and was survived by 6 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 in his memory.
