Raffaele "Ralph" Vincelli, 92 of Union passed away on August 28, 2017.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday August 31 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation is on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
Ralph was born in Newark in 1925 before moving to Belleville and eventually residing in Union for the past 42 years. He was a Tin Can Sailors Member and also served on the Navy USS Conner DD582 Destroyer WWll, which received 12 battle stars in the Pacific Theater. In addition to serving his country, Ralph was also a roofer for 30 years for Goldfadden and Sons in Newark. Before his retirement, Ralph was a maintenance custodian for the Union Board of Education for 15 years. He was also awarded the Mayors Award for his active service in WWll in 2015. He was very well known in Union and he will be terribly missed by his family and friends.
Ralph was the beloved husband of Elena "Helen" (nee Memmola); loving father of his sons Ralph and Salvatore and his wife Lynn. And is also survived by his Granddaughter Kelley Anne. He was predeceased by his late sisters Josephine Sardullo, Rosemarie Rocco and Derna Conklin.
