Ralph D'Amato
Ralph D'Amato 89 of East Hanover formerly of Orange died on Sunday March 29, 2015 at home.
The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Wednesday at 8:30 am. The funeral mass will be in St. Philomena Church in Livingston, at 10 am. Interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Newark. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 pm.
Born in Newark he lived in Orange for 38 years, before moving to East Hanover 20 years ago. He was a Product Designer for The Heil Co. in Woodbridge for 25 years, and then became a Housing Inspector for the city of Orange for 25 years, retiring 13 years ago. He is also a member of the Nutley Masonic Lodge # 25 F&AM.
Ralph was married to his late wife Virginia (nee Pereles) for 65 years until she died in 2013. He is the father of Gwen Trezza and her husband Anthony, and Bruce D'Amato and his wife Linda. He was the son of the late Anthony and Minnie (nee Cordasco) D'Amato, and is the brother of Anthony D'Amato Jr. and the late Marion Perrelli. He is also the grandfather of Gwen Gencarelli and her husband Joe, Robyn Trezza, Linda, and Bruce D'Amato, and his fiancé Davia Villani, as well as the great grandfather of Gabriella," The Light of His Life".
