Ramiro A. Aguilar, 36 of Verona passed away on January 16, 2019.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Ramiro at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Tuesday January 22 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Aloysius Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave. Caldwell on Wednesday January 23 at 10 AM. Cremation will be held privately.
Born in Newark, Ramiro grew up in Orange and West Orange, attending West Orange High School, and graduated in 2000. Having the opportunity to go out and see the world, he later lived in Ecuador and Spain, before settling in Verona and Upper Montclair in the past several years. Ramiro was proud to be self-employed, operating a successful auto detailing business.
Ramiro had an amazing passion for art, and was a talented artist. Finding beauty in everything, his art work took many forms; some of his favorites being his sketches, comic books, and his creations of custom action figures, curating and finding the right head to fit on the proper body to make his favorite characters.
Ramiro was extremely creative, a meticulous collector and fan of superheroes. An avid sneaker head, he was always particular about his apparel, even ironing his jeans several times until they were just right! Being a kid at heart himself, Ramiro was so great with kids, especially his cousins, niece and nephew, all of whom he loved dearly. Ramiro was a gentle soul, who appreciated all kinds of music, always spinning a new soundtrack to his wonderful life.
Ramiro was loved dearly, and will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his loving mother Maria Reinoso and her husband Carlos, his grandparents Francisco and Martha Cortes, aka Ma and Papi; his loving sister Cynthia Wrobel and her husband Justin, dear niece Jordyn, and nephew Jagger. He is also survived by his dear aunts and uncles Lucy Garcia and her husband Edward, Frank Cortes, Fabian Cortes and his wife Ingrid, Veronica Cortes, Carlos Cortes and his wife Gabriela, Roxanna Cortes, Helena Conte and her husband Dan; and his loving cousins Vanessa, Alexis, Eddie, Amy, Timmy, Fabian, Camila, Isabella, Dominic, Anthony and Luca.
At the family's request, everyone attending the visitation and funeral is asked to wear casual clothing; especially their favorite sneakers, jeans and comic book hero shirt in Ramiro's honor.
