Raphalina “Rae” Santoriello

Raphalina “Rae” Santoriello, 76, passed away at home in Union, N.J. on June 6, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive relatives and friends on  Sunday June 9th  from 2 to 6 PM  at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J. ( www.//galantefuneralhome.com ). A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday  at Saint Michael’s Church,  Union at  10:15  AM.

Mrs. Santoriello was born in Newark, N.J. and together with her late husband, James Santoriello, Jr. raised their family in Union, N.J. She was employed at the Union Board of Education for over 25 years. Her greatest joys were sharing love and laughter with family and friends at the family’s beach residence and cheering for her favorite team, the New York Giants.

Rae was the beloved wife of the late James Santoriello, Jr., cherished sister of Theresa DeJohn (Naporano), devoted mother of Laura Santoriello, and James Santoriello (Terry); adoring grandmother of three grandchildren, Kelly, Christine, and Joey. She is also survived by a host of loving sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Foundation Heart Failure and Transplant Program, 201 Lyons Avenue Newark, N.J. 07112 would be appreciated.
