Raymond A. "Rocky" Cote, 75 of Newark passed away on February 10, 2020.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Rocky's honor at St. Casmir's Church in Newark on Saturday February 15, 2020 at 11 AM. Arrangements are in the care of the Galante Funeral Home in Union.
Born in Biddeford, ME, Rocky was raised there until entering the US Army in 1967. Rocky served in the Vietnam War, and while in the military met his beloved wife, Martina. After marrying, Rocky and Martina settled in the Ironbound section of Newark in 1968. Rocky worked for Lafayette Crane and Hoist, and Phillips Badge Company, both in Newark, until his retirement. He was a member of the VFW in Newark, and the Ironbound Senior Citizens. Rocky also enjoyed playing Santa Claus for the kids in his neighborhood.
Rocky was the beloved husband on Martina (nee Santiago) Cote; loving father of Michelle Cote, dear brother of Precille Morin and Grandfather of Gabriel Cote. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
