Robert Joseph Lima

Robert Joseph Lima, 41, passed away on Monday December 23, 2019. Born on December 29, 1977 in Livingston, NJ he was the son of Lionel and Veronica Lima. Rob was a contractor and the owner of Lima Contracting, LLC and R. Lima Contracting, LLC. He loved spending time with family and friends; especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, Medieval Times, Lake George, the beach, and going to BBQ's. Rob always wanted to help others and would feed the homeless on the streets of Newark. Rob was loved by everyone and always knew how to make others laugh.

Robert was the loving brother of Veronica DePinto and husband Len; Doreen Sisolak and husband John; step brother of Christina Pallitto and husband Anthony; nieces Isabella and Camilla; nephews Jack, Johnny, Andrew and Joseph. He was the nephew to Edwin and Janet Lima. Rob is also survived by his loving life partner, Jennifer Velez and daughter Julie. He was predeceased by his grandparents Adelino and Maria Lima, sister Jennifer Ann, and step mother Marisa Caruso.

Relatives and friends are invited to Rob's Life Celebration, Monday December 30 from 4-8pm at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday December 31 at 10:15 at St. Michael's Church, 1212 Kelly St, Union, NJ 07083.

Interment Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions in Rob's name be made to Market Street Mission to help feed the hungry and homeless.
