Robert J. Mackaravitz 59, of Union, passed away at home on September 23, 2014.

Funeral from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St Michaels Church Union at 10:15  AM. Cremation will be private. Visitation Thursday 4 - 8 PM. Born in Newark he lived in Union for 28 years.  Robert was a chief operating engineer at 2 Tower Center in New Brunswick.  He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, local 68 in West Caldwell for 20 years.

Robert coached little league in union of 12 years. And also was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Union #4504.

Husband of Sharon (Nee Piceno) Father of Robert and his wife Nicole, Melissa Pescatore and her husband Ken, and Kyle.  Grandfather of Joshua, Skyler, and EverLena.

Son of MaryJane (Nee Killian) and the late Clement Mackaravitz and brother of Michael Mackaravitz.
