Ronald Blount

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Blount Jr., who left this world on December 4, 2022. 

He was born on January 17, 1973, in Camden, NJ. Ronald's educational journey began in his hometown of Franklinville, New Jersey, where he attended Caroline L. Reuter Elementary School and Delsea Regional High School. Ronald attended Gloucester County Vocational Technical School during his senior year and earned a Welding Technician Certification, in addition to his high school diploma. Ronald was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He shared his life with his loving wife, Amy Simon-Blount, and was a proud father to his four children: Destiny, Justin, Kayla, and Marissa. Family was at the center of his world, and his love and dedication to them were unwavering. 

He was the beloved son of Ronald Blount Sr. and Arlene Blount and a cherished brother to Rhonda, Robert, and Randall. His kindness, humor, and strength touched the lives of many, and his presence will be deeply missed. Ronald’s legacy lives on in the love he shared and the countless memories he created with those who knew him. His family and friends will forever hold him in their hearts. 

A combined celebration of Ronald and Amy Simon-Blount’s lives will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 11:00 am at Galante Funeral Home, located at 2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ. Amy passed away suddenly on February 8, 2025, in Raleigh, NC. After the combined celebration of life, the family will proceed to Rosemount Cemetery, Elizabeth, New Jersey for a private memorial for Ronald Blount.
