It is with great sadness  that the family of Rosa Nunez Rickett , known to the family as "Chabela", passed away after a long battle with cancer on January 27, 2018 at the age of 55.

Rosa was born in her hometown of Magdalena, Spain and moved to the United States at the age of 6. Rosa enjoyed vacationing in Spain, roses, quality time spent with family, and cooking.

Rosa, loving daughter is predeceased by her parents Pilar & Inocencio Nunez. Rosa will forever be remembered  by her husband Robert Rickett, her son Luis Sanchez, her siblings, Olga Rego and her husband John, Manuel Nunez and his wife Connie, Benito Nunez and his wife Lori, Carlos Nunez and Inocencio Nunez. Rosa will also be forever remembered by her nieces and nephew, Joanie Mayan, Eva Nunez, Kayla Nunez, Pilar Nunez, and Christopher Nunez as well as her extended family in Spain and the US.

A viewing will be held for Rosa on Monday, January 29th, 2018 at Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave in Union, NJ from 4-8pm. Her funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary church located on Lafayette St. Newark, NJ at 9:30am. Following the funeral service she will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
