Rose Ann Perna
Rose Ann Perna of Bloomfield, NJ, died peacefully at the age of 80 on Saturday, November 19th, 2022. She was born in Newark, NJ and graduated from Barringer High School, Newark, NJ.
Rose Ann started working at First Jersey National Bank in 1960 and was a pioneer for women in banking. She paved the way for other women with her forward-thinking mindset and strategic actions. In 40 years of a successful banking career, she touched so many lives which brought her tremendous joy, and she retired as a Vice President of Bank of America.
She was an avid reader, loved the theater, and enjoyed dining out with a group of loyal friends. Rose Ann was a fascinating storyteller and a distinguished conversationalist who could speak about any topic with anyone. Everyone she touched with her kindness, loved her. Rose Ann lived her life to the fullest.
Rose Ann leaves a nephew, Joseph Marano and his wife, Lisa, 3 great nephews Nicolas, Jack, and Vincent Marano, goddaughter Nicole Alessandra, godson Ricky Whipple, other relatives, and many loyal friends. She was predeceased by her parents Gerard Perna and Rose (nee Mancuso), and sister Patricia Marano.
Visitation at Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell, NJ held on Saturday, November 26 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Lucy’s Church, Newark, at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
