Rose Buonerba

Rose Buonerba of Garwood NJ, Daughter of the late Alphonse and Lillian, sister of the late Valentina Buonerba passed away on March 30,2021.

She leaves behind her loving family, Stephen Leonardis and his wife Mary, her Godchild  JoAnn Jamiolkowski and her husband Thomas. She also leaves behind her loving cousins, Kristen and her husband  Steven, John and his wife Jenny, as well as her little cousins, Steven, Andrew, and Anthony, who she loved dearly. She also leaves behind many dear cousins and friends.

.Rose was born and raised in Newark 's Ironbound section. She lived in Livingston, Clark and then in Garwood.

She was a teacher at Hawkins Street School and Lafayette Street School and later became a Guidance Counselor before retiring after 40 years with the Newark Public Schools.

Visitation at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. in Union from 8:30 - 10AM. on Monday April 5, followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church 259 Oliver St. Newark NJ at 10:30 AM

Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery
