Rose Serritella (nee Zuppa) 81 of Maplewood, died on April 14, 2013, leaving a legacy of light, love, and laughter.
The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave, Union on Wednesday at 8:30 am. The funeral mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, South Orange at 9:30 am. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 4-8 pm.
Born in Jersey City, she lived in Maplewood 40 years.  Rose was a marketing manager for Bell Atlantic/Verizon for 25 years and retired in 1994. Rose graduated from Snyder High School in Jersey City as Salutatorian of her class.
Rose was the wife of the late Nicholas, mother of James Serritella & Susan Serritella, sister of Peggy Dellanno, Jean Comunale, Lucille Sismanovich, the late Charles Zuppa & Mildred Zuppa, Grandma to Melissa Susan and Alexandra Rose, and has many nieces and nephews, each of whom she loved as her own children. Her passion in life was sharing her love with her family and friends.
