Rosicler Soares - Senatore

Rosicler “Rosi” (née Soares) Senatore, of Scotch Plains, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, surrounded by her loving family after a valiant battle with uterine cancer. She was 60 years old.

Rosi was born November 1, 1959, in São Paulo, Brazil. Her family arrived and settled in the Ironbound section of Newark in 1966. Rosi  graduated from East Side High School in 1978 and maintained a lifelong career in the banking industry.

Rosi was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother who truly enjoyed and cherished her family and friends. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and tremendous compassion & empathy.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Albert Senatore Jr., and her children, Nicole (née Senatore) Wojcak (husband Bryan) and David (wife Courtney). Rosi is also survived by her mother Tereza (née

Dias Da Rosa) Soares, sister Silvia (née Soares) Lattoz (husband Frank), brother Roger Soares (wife Jackie), grandson Ethan, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.  Rosi was preceded in death by her father, Silvio Soares, who she adored.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation Friday, September 25th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26th, at 8:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Newark at 9:30 AM. For those who wish to attend, a cremation chapel service will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Newark, NJ.
