Ruben Santos

Ruben Santos-Vazquez, 68 of Worcester, MA passed away on Wednesday, February 3rd, peacefully in his sleep at home in NJ surrounded by loved ones. He courageously battled cancer during the last couple of years but was ready to go home now.

Ruben was born in Canovanas, PR to the late Fernando Santos and Dionisia Vazquez and is predeceased by 1 brother. Besides tons of fun-loving memories, he leaves behind countless loved ones including 10 brothers and 3 sisters. He leaves his former wife Luz Barre and their four children; Alexander and his wife Alyssa, their two daughters; Ruben J. and his wife Michelle, their four daughters and two sons; Karime, her two daughters and two sons; Jasmine and her son. He also leaves behind son-in-law David Ortiz, and his entire loving family. Ruben also has MANY nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends whom he loved dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Ruben at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday February 10 from 10am to 12 noon. A Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 11am, and interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Orange.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any cancer or Alzheimer's foundation in Ruben's honor; as well as any cerebral palsy foundation in honor of Ruben's very special grandson, Kalvin Ruben Santos who has the biggest key to his heart.
