Ryszard S. Malczak

Ryszard S. Malczak, a resident of Union for over 30 years and a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025. He was 79. Born in the quaint village of Brwinow, Poland, Richie carried with him the spirit of his homeland throughout his life.

Richie dedicated many years to his career, most recently maintaining the grounds of Mount Carmel Guild Academy in West Orange. He has been retired for the past seven years.

Though Richie led a life marked by hard work and determination, it was the simple joys that truly brought him happiness. He found solace in the small pleasures of each day, especially with the companionship of his faithful dog, Tuca. Richie had a gentle soul, and through his love for the simple things, he taught those around him the importance of appreciating every moment life offers.

Richie is deeply mourned by his wife, Danuta, who stood by his side with love and devotion through every twist and turn of their journey together. His legacy also continues through his adored daughter, Alicja Favaro, and his cherished grandsons, Alexander and Eric Favaro. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends in the United States and in Poland.

In his memory, may we all strive to embrace the simple joys and precious moments that make life truly beautiful. 

A memorial mass will be held at a later date. Services are in the care of the Galante Funeral Home in Union.
