Sabatino Castellani

Sabatino (Dino) Castellani 82, of Springfield passed away on Thursday April 4, 2013.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, on Monday at 8 A.M. Funeral mass at St. James Church Springfield at 9:15 A.M. Interment St Theresa Cemetery Summit. Visitation Sunday 2-6 PM.

Mr. Castellani was one of five children was born in Newark to Antonio and Fiorenzina Castellani.  His sisters are Anna Castellani, the late Lisa Brunello, Lena DePiro and Rose Silano. Mr. Castellani worked from a young age delivering coal and ice in Newark with his father. He served in the U. S. Army, drove construction vehicles and retired after many years in the Springfield Township public works deprtment. Mr. Castellani was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Helene, who died on September 9, 2012. Surviving are their sons, Anthony (Lisa) and Vincent (Sandy), and grandchildren  Dena, Toni, Mary, Grace and Dino. Mr. Castellani is also survived by dear sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
