Sally O. Capawana (nee Conforti) 85, of Union, died on Wednesday May 20, 2015.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, on Wednesday at 9 AM. The funeral mass will be in St. Lucy Church in Newark at 11 AM.

Interment will follow In East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.

Born in Newark, she lived in Kearny, before moving to Union 23 years ago. She worked in the food services division of the Prudential Insurance Co. in Newark for 10 years, retiring 23 years ago.

She was a member of the Union Twp. Senior Citizens Club Wednesday Group.

Sally was married to her husband the late Louis A. Capawana for 44 years until he died in 1995. She is the mother of Patricia L. Capawana and her husband Angelo Di Modica, and Debra A. Olvaney and her husband Thomas. She is the sister of Elvira Casiere, and the grandmother of Thomas Olvaney Jr. and his wife Annie, and Jessica Olvaney, as well as the

great grandmother of Louis Joseph Olvaney aka " L J ".
