Samuel A. Pelose

Samuel A. Pelose, 84, Passed away peacefully on October 18, 2012 with his family by his side at Saint Michael’s Hospital.


Husband of Anna (nee Giordano)


Sister of Ann Pelose Flynn.


Also survived by his nieces and nephews Denise, Andrea, Donald, Frankie, Bill and John J.


Samuel was married to Anna for 59 years.


He was born in Newark and was a lifelong resident of the Ironbound section.


A graduate of East Side HS in 1946. He was Forman with the Laurel Lamp Company for 40 years and then with Northern Feather for 5 years before retiring in 1990.


Sam was an avid New York sports fan and a longtime member of the Holy Name Society at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.


He was a former District Leader in the Ironbound for over 10 years.


Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 17 Pacific Street Newark (Ironbound) on Monday at 8:30 AM.


Funeral mass is at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Newark at 9:30 AM.


Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.


Visitation is on Sunday from 1-5 PM.
