Sophie Wachowicz

Sophie Wachowicz, 97 of Tinton Falls passed away on October 29, 2021.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Sophie at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Monday November 1 from 10 - 11 AM. A Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 11 AM, and entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park,.

Born in Newark, Sophie lived in Union for many years. She worked as a secretary for Defense Supply Agency prior to her retirement. Sophie loved to dance, and was a longtime member of the Polish Club in Elizabeth. She most treasured times getting dressed up and socializing with her dear friends.

The daughter of the late Aleksander and Mary (nee Zawislak) Hankowski, Sophie was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Wachowicz, and was also predeceased by her dear companion Robert Kenney, Sr. Sophie is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, and by one dear cousin.
