Stella Buonincontri (nee Senatore) 91, of Union died on Friday Nov. 15, 2013 at Overlook Hospital Union Campus.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Tuesday at 10:30 am. The funeral mass will be in Saint James Church 45 South Springfield Avenue in Springfield at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 8:30 - 10:30 am.

Born in Newark she graduated from East Side High School in the Ironbound section of Newark in 1940.

Stella was married to her late husband Sollie Buonincontri until  he passed away in 2011. She is the mother of John Buonincontri and his wife Kathryn, and Jim Buonincontri. She is also the grandmother of Monica, Patrick, and Jill Buonincontri.
