Stella DeVito

Stella DeVito (nee Cuomo), 92 formerly of Union and Oxford, passed away on September 8, 2013.

The Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union on Thursday at 8:30 am. The Funeral Mass is at St. Joseph Church in Maplewood at 9:45 am. Interment is at Hollywood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Born in Canada, Stella lived in Union for 50 years before living in Oxford the past several years. She was a member of the Union Twp. Senior Citizens then later the Oxford Senior Citizens. She came from a large family, having 9 sisters and two brothers.

Stella was married 33 years to the late Louis DeVito prior to his passing in 1979. She was the beloved mother of Sylvia Ferrara (Glenn), and Marie Brochard (James). She is also survived by her grandchildren Robert Falzarano (Rosanna), Paul Falzarano (Beatriz), Richard Leiding and Kirk Frederiksen; and her great-grandchildren Jacob and Conner Leiding; and James, Vanessa, David and Daniel Falzarano.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 560 Sylvan Ave. Suite 1210 Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632 in her memory.
