Stephanie Kushnier

Stephanie Kushnier 89, of Whiting died on Monday July 23rd, 2012.


The funeral service is in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, on Friday at 11 am. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. .


Born in Newark, she lived in Irvington & Edison before moving to Whiting 24 years ago. She was a member of the VFW Pfc. Joseph C. Horvath Lodge Ladies Auxiliary in Union.


Stephanie was married to her late husband Walter for 21 years before he died in 1967. She was the mother of Richard M. Kushnier and his wife Yvonne, Harry J. Kushnier and his wife Stephanie, Patricia A. Pezza and her husband Anthony, and Stephanie A. Gemsa and her husband Alan. She was the grandmother of Chris, Jenny, Alex, Nick, Anthony, Michael, Corey, Kim, Katie, and Jackie, as well as the great grandmother of Nicholas and Emma.


In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association P O Box 11454 Alexandria, Va. 22312 in her memory.
