Stephen Michael Konawal 76 of South Orange passed away at his home on January 27, 2013.

The Funeral Service will be at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, on Friday at 10 AM.

The visitation will be on Thursday from 3 to 7 PM.

Interment is at St. Gertrude Cemetery.

He was born in Carteret and lived in South Orange for 40 years.

Stephen was the Director of Human Resources/ Management Development at PSE&G in Newark for 26 years.  He retired 26 years ago and then worked in private consulting for companies on human resource issues.

Stephen served in the Navy and Marines during peacetime.

He is the husband of the late Norma (nee Napoliello).  The father of Jennifer Konawal and the brother of Michelle Baker and the late Eileen Yadlowsky.  Grandfather of Hope Angelina Brady..
