Susana Silverio

Susana Silverio (nee Pereira), 47 of Union passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2024.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Susana at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Thursday March 28 from 4-8 PM. A Special Blessing will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Elizabeth on Friday at 10AM. Cremation will be held privately.

Born in Portugal, Susana immigrated to Newark in 1990, later residing in Hillside until becoming a Union resident with her family in 2002. She worked as a loan officer for the National Bank of Kuwait in New York City for several years. Susana loved traveling, especially trips to the beach and to visit her parents and family in Portugal. She most loved making cherished memories with her family, all of whom she held near to her heart. 

Susana brought a ray of sunshine everywhere she went, and even brightened the day of many of the Memorial Sloan Kettering staff when she went in for her treatments.

Susana was the beloved wife of Sergio Silverio; loving mother of Kayla, Nichole and Julianna; devoted daughter of Manuel and Almerinda Pereira; and daughter-in-law of Domingos Silverio. She was the dear sister of Ze "Mano" Pereira and his wife Micas and Carla "Ticha" Silva and her husband Ze-To. She is also survived by her treasured in-laws Sandra Silva and her husband Sergio; and by her nieces and nephews Joshua, Lukas, Hailey, Madison and Tiago. She was predeceased by her loving mother-in-law Luci Silverio.
