Susan L. Ursino

Susan Lucille Ursino (nee Catena) of Green Brook passed away on January 16, 2012 at Somerset Medical Center after a brief illness.


A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday January 21, 2012 from 9 to 10 AM at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave., Union.


Born Assunta Carmela Lucia Catena in Newark Mrs. Ursino was also a long time resident of Union before moving to Green Brook.


For many years she was a licensed beautician and hair stylist prior to beginning a career in bookkeeping operations at various industrial firms in and around the Union County area. In later years she was also associated with the Serendipity Store in Union.


She was married for over 60 years to the late Armand Ursino, Sr., a WW II combat veteran of the U.S. Navy Seabees serving in the Pacific Campaign.


She is survived by her daughter Marion Nolz and her son Armand T. Ursino, Jr. She is the grandmother of Thomas, Holly, Suzanne and Lauren. Great grandmother of Zoe and Jasmine and sister of Josephine Bynder.
