Teresa G. Nobrega  (nee Gomes) 85, of Basking Ridge, died on Tuesday April 14, 2015, at home.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue Union on Friday at 9 am. The funeral mass will be in St, James Church Springfield at 10 am. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be on Thursday from 7-9 PM.

Born in Funchal Madeira Portugal, she lived in Newark, and Irvington, before moving to Basking Ridge for many years.  She loved to garden and play her harmonica. She was a loving and caring Mother. She was a member of the Madeira Club of Newark, as well as a communicant of St. James Church in Basking Ridge.

Teresa was the wife of the late Jose Aromondo Nobrega, and is the mother of Anna Pontoriero, Nicholle Yapczenski, Carlos, and the late Louis Nobrega. She was also the sister of  Gabriella  Nobrega , Clarice, Iva, the late Fernanda , Joseph, and Celeste  Gomes, as well as the grandmother Donald and Katrina.
