Teresa Perez, 96, of Newark passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave., Union on Saturday at 8:30 AM

The Funeral Mass will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Newark at 10 AM.

Entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.

Visitation on Friday from 4:00 to 8 PM

Teresa was born in Orense, Spain. She arrived and settled in the Ironbound section of Newark in 1937. She worked as a seamstress for various clothing companies in Newark.

Over the past 30 years, she enjoyed spending the summer months with her extended family at her other home in Spain.

Because of her keen eye as a seamstress, she was always impeccably dressed.

She always enjoyed getting together with her family and friends.

Teresa was the wife of the late Jose.

Mother of Joseph and Anthony.

Grandmother of Joseph, Jason, Stacey, Marnie.

Great-Grandmother of Molly, Max, Hannah, Joseph, Nicholas, Daniel and Kasandra.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, made in her memory.
