Theodore Ziegert

Theodore Ziegert, 87 of Basking Ridge passed away on April 9, 2013.

The funeral service will be at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, on Friday at 10 am.

Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.

Born in Newark he lived in Union before moving to Basking Ridge in 1986. He was an umpire/referee for various high school athletic events throughout the state since 1972, retiring in 2012. He served his country in the Navy during WWII, as a Seaman 1 ^st class in the Pacific Theatre on the USS Vincennes.

Theodore was the husband of the late Rose M. (nee Marques). Beloved father of Thaddeus Ziegert and his wife Nancy; and Wayne Ziegert and his wife Laura. He is survived by his sister Mary Duffy, and nephew Vincent Fucci; Grandfather of Matthew and Christopher.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the VANJHCS 151 Knollcroft Rd. Building 2 Lyons, NJ 07939 in his memory.
