Theresa D. Terranova
Loving mother, Theresa D. Terranova (Flesch) passed on to a more beautiful place on September 28 h , 2017.
Theresa joins her late husband, Peter, whom she loved so deeply and is survived by her loving children Peter and his wife Stacey, Jennifer Terranova, Jason and his wife Laura. Theresa was the youngest child of the late Italia and Frederick Flesch. She was loved and loved equally by her brothers Frederick Flesch (and the late Joseph Flesch), her sisters Madelene and Thomas Cowan, Linda and Ron Roman and Frances Flesch. Theresa’s pride and joy were her two grandchildren Mikayla and Peter, who referred to her as “Nonni”.
Theresa was born in Newark, NJ and then spent most of her childhood in Irvington before moving to Springfield and finally spending the last 31 years in Union. Theresa loved to chat for hours with anyone willing, she loved to cook, and spend time with all the family pets. Theresa spent 15 years as a single mom successfully raising three wonderful children. She had the strength of twenty and the heart of a hundred, and will be missed by every life she touched.
She leaves behind her many Nieces, Nephews, and Brother and Sister-in-laws along with her rescue dog Luna the “Lunatic”, as she referred to her.
“He leaned over and kissed her goodnight. Then he lay down close by and whispered with a smile, “I love you to the moon and back.”
Funeral from the GalanteFuneral Home 2800 Morris Ave Union, on Wednesday at 8:30AM.
Funeral mass at St James Church, Springfield at 10 AM. followed by an interment at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
Visitation on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM
