Thomas E. Giorella 74, of Brick, N.J. died on Sunday Jan. 7, 2018 at Care One at Wall Care Center, in Wall, N.J. surrounded by his loving family.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, N.J. at 9 am on Thursday.

The funeral mass will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Newark (Ironbound), at 10:30 am.

Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J.

Visitation will be on Wednesday. From 4-8 PM.

Born in Newark, N.J. he lived in Green Brook, N.J. for 25 years, before moving to Brick 7 years ago.

He was an Operating Engineer for Local 825 in Springfield, N.J. for 40 years, retiring 7 years ago.

Thomas was married to his wife Carmella L. (nee D'Allessio)

for 49 years,

and is the father of Christopher T. Giorella and his wife Laura, and Carmine R. Giorella and his wife Tracy.

He is also survived by his brother Gerald Giorella, and his 4 grandchildren Alexis, Christopher Jr. Anthony, and Vincenzo, and was predeceased by his parents Vincenza (Vinnie) (nee  Ricozzi), and Alphonse Giorella.
