Thomas J. Hahn, 85 of Roseland, formerly of North Caldwell passed away at Brighton Gardens of West Orange on January 9, 2014.

The Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 54 Roseland Ave. , Caldwell on Tuesday at 8:30 AM.

The Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame Church , North Caldwell at 10 AM.

Interment will be private.

Visitation is on Monday from 4 to 8 PM.

Born in Cleveland , Ohio he lived in Detroit , recently North Caldwell and then Roseland for 7 years.

He was a Korean War Army veteran who worked on the development of the hydrogen bomb.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University and a Masters degree in business administration from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business; both of which he graduated cum laude.

He also was the owner of Clairmont Auto Group in West Caldwell until his retirement.

He has been an avid sailor and instrument rated pilot for many years and also served as past president of the N.J. Auto Dealers Association.

He is the husband of Dorothy (nee Toboy). The father of Michael and Timothy Hahn, Carolyn Hahn-Gufler and Christine Hahn-Amato. Loving grandfather of Peter, Christopher, Alec, Paige, Sam, Jake, Kyle, Samantha and Zachary.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Hahn Family Foundation which is a charitable group would be appreciated.
